Sally Nugent will join Dan Walker and Naga Munchetty as a regular presenter on BBC Breakfast from Monday to Wednesday.

Nugent, who has been a stand-in presenter on the show since 2012, will take up the role from September 13.

The move comes as part of a shake-up of the BBC's breakfast programming, which will see Walker leave the show next year.

Nugent said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to become a regular presenter on BBC Breakfast. It's a privilege to be part of such a brilliant team and to help inform our viewers every morning."
